About the Club

Chestfield CC is situated in an idyllic village, The ground is very pIcturesque and the envy of many.

Chestfield CC prides itself on providing a family friendly safe environment for all age groups gender and ability to be given the opportunities to play, develop and enjoy sport.. It has over 300 members. 160 of which are juniors aged 5-18. In 2018  have 80 kwik cricketers including 40 girls, we run 9 junior teams + 4 adult teams. We provided a venue for over 100 matches last year. It is a popular community sport provider in local our area. We first received the ECB Clubmark award for Junior development and safeguarding in 2010.

Chestfield CC was awarded theKent Cricket Coaching Club of the year in 2019 for its efforts in development and cordination of junior cricket.

Through the Covid 19 pandemic of 2020 we were able to offer services and venue to various schools and community groups, we were nominated and awarded The ECB/Natwest OSCAR of Connecting Communities Award.

We have 20 qualified coaches. 2 of which are ECB Level 3.

At present the club is proud to boast 20 + District /Area junior players, 7 County Junior players including 3 girls and 1 that represents England in the Disability Squad.

The club provides pitches for local school games, festivals and Junior District and County age group matches.

The Senior teams play -

Saturday 1st Team play in Kent League Divison 3.

Saturday 2nd Team play in the Kent League Division 3.

Sunday 1st Team play in the Kent Village League Division 1.

Sunday 2nds play in the Kent Village League East 3.

 

Also provides a venue for local charity groups to play and raise community funds.

Over the last 3 years enthusiastic fundraising and grant applications have realised a new roller, new 3 lane net practice area ,a new electronic scoreboard.and had the square relevelled and renovated.

Work is underway to plan the clubhouse improvements regarding changing rooms and disabled facilities.
